Setting Up the Intro
Follow these steps to add an intro page to your website or template. For mobile compliance use an HTML
responsive intro page. For animation use either jQuery, Javascript or css3 to make it more dynamic.
Step 1: Rename your current "index.html" to "home.html".
Step 2: Edit your menu file (menu.js) in Notepad or a plain text editor so it points to the webpage "home.html" instead of "index.html". Edit the link for the header logo in your header file. Optionally change the links on your site map page.
Step 3: Create a new "index.html" that will be the intro page. Optionally make a copy of any existing template page. Create css3 or jQuery animation and add it to the new "index.html". See some intro page options below.
The
index.html will now be the first page that users will see at your website. The
home.html will be the homepage once users are on the website so they do not need to repeatedly see the intro when clicking on any home links.
