Basic Social Linking
One simple way to setup social media on your website is to add text or image links on your webpages that link to your Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and other social websites. You can find a number of free icon generators with some Google searches.


Add This
The popular addthis.com offers a free widget that can be added to your website as shown in the example below. Other options include the icons in the sidebar. Works on HTML websites. You are required to sign up to use this service.




Sharethis
sharethis.com has a free easy to setup widget that you can add to the header footer or sidebar. The create widget area is easy to use and has some nice customization features. A very popular site, the code works on standard HTML websites. You are required to create an account to use this service.





Sharexy
sharexy.com allows you to setup a row of just your social icons, or it has a nifty little popout menu. This will allow you to use a single icon (the orange sun image below) that pops out all your other social media icons. The widget can be placed anywhere on the page, or it can float in the left or right sidebar. Works on HTML websites and templates. We were able to create widget code without having to sign up.

Allwebco Design does not offer tell a friend scripts or applications, however, the above widgets can be added to any Allwebco template. Additionally, many other free social media scripts are available. Search for "tell-a-friend" at Google.
