Where is the code:
The code that allows the flash image changer to be displayed can be found in the "sidebar.js" or the "imagechanger.js". You can change the border color or turn off the Flash by editing the variables near the top of the sidebar.js using Notepad or any plain text editor. The "imagechanger.js" usually only includes the animation sizes and background color.
My images are not working:
If you have replaced these 8 (or more) .jpg images and they are not showing up on the page here are some possible reasons.
Do not save these .jpg images as "progressive". Be sure to save them as "standard" .jpg images. Try re-saving these images using a "save as" and be sure to select "standard".
You did not flatten the image layers before saviing the .jpg file.
You have edited the wrong images or the template is not unzipped properly.
Make sure "Hotlink Protection" is turned off in your hosting account.
Background color does not change:
If you edit the color in the .js file the background may not change. This will be because the Flash is setup as transparent and the background will be the color of your webpage. Or the color may be defined in your template CSS file.
How can I add more images to the changer?
If you want to have more .jpg images show in the changer you must edit the .fla file in the "flash" folder using Flash software. Click here for advanced Flash editing details. Optionally, you can replace your changer with the Allwebco Flash XML Image Changer Add-on. This add-on includes unlimited images and many other options. A custom size for the XML changer to fit your template is available on request.
